Liverpool's Hidden Gem
Charcoal buns, a camel patty and squeaky halloumi: the stuff you don't see on every burger board.

"Hidden gem" usually means a shop that doesn't shout. Ours shouts a bit — the board is red and loud — but the interesting part isn't the signage. It's the four or five things on the menu that nobody would put there unless they actually wanted to cook them.
The charcoal bun
Our Alpine Brisket sits on a jet-black charcoal bun. It's softer and slightly sweeter than the standard Best Burger bun, which suits slow-cooked brisket better than a griddled brioche does. If you want it on any other burger, a change of bun is $2.
A camel patty
Camel is lean and a touch more mineral than beef, so it needs seasoning and a short, hot cook rather than a long one. Most people order it out of curiosity and then come back for it on purpose.
Grilled halloumi, not a token veggie option
Halloumi gets grilled until the edges blister and stays squeaky in the middle. Alongside it there's a beetroot-quinoa vegan build and a golden fried veggie burger, so a mixed table doesn't have to negotiate.
Sauces made here
Signature sauce, chipo-mayo, Verde-aioli, truffle, creamy garlic and chickpea tahini are whisked in-house. That's the part you can't buy in, and it's the reason two $12 burgers with the same patty taste nothing alike.
No awards, just the board
We're not going to invent a trophy. Read the full board, order the thing that sounds best, and judge it yourself. That's the only review that matters.
